The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gonzalez cracks Hogan with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Hogan avoids the head kick by Gonzalez.
A nice inside leg kick there by Gonzalez. That's going to slow Hogan down. Hogan fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Gonzalez with a poor takedown and Hogan counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Hogan. Hogan drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Hogan jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Hogan wants to pass the guard but Gonzalez is keeping the position. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Hogan postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Gonzalez is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

That's one minute gone in the round. Hogan passes to full mount! Hogan punishing his opponent with strikes. Gonzalez is breathing heavily. Hogan lands a heavy elbow. Hogan is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Gonzalez to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Gonzalez shrugs it off. Gonzalez is desperately trying to improve his position but Hogan has a good base and remains in mount. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Hogan punishing his opponent with strikes. Hogan looking to secure an arm triangle but Gonzalez defends it well. Hogan lands a heavy elbow.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hogan working for a guillotine from mount but Gonzalez is in no mood to give up.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Hogan has hold of Gonzalez's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Gonzalez manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Hogan landing strikes from the mount. Gonzalez looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back! Gonzalez is trying to defend against the choke here but Hogan has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Hogan Tightens the hold and Gonzalez taps out furiously! Hogan displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
