Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tommy Pulver! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Hugo Sanchez! The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, John Mangel and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sanchez stuffs the takedown attempt from Pulver. Pulver gets slowly back to his feet. Sanchez closes the distance looking to clinch and Pulver counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Pulver missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Sanchez is refusing to be controlled, as Pulver sits in half guard. Sanchez trying to control here.
Pulver looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
