The crowd seem to be enjoying Hardonk's choice of entrance music: Requiem for a dream. Antoni Hardonk acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thomas stuffs the takedown attempt from Hardonk. Hardonk gets slowly back to his feet.
Hardonk tries to score a power double leg takedown but Thomas sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Hardonk somewhat.
Thomas stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Thomas wants it to stay on the feet.
Clay Thomas has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Antoni Hardonk.
Hardonk fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Thomas avoids it really well and circles away.
Thomas pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Hardonk shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Thomas defends it nicely.

Thomas lands a big head kick that sends Hardonk tumbling to the mat! Thomas takes a step backwards and waves Hardonk back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Thomas closes this distance looking for a takedown but Hardonk circles away.

That has opened up Antoni Hardonk's cut even more.
Hardonk shoots in but Thomas avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Thomas defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Hardonk.

Thomas shoots in for a takedown but Hardonk shows good takedown defense.
Hardonk shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Thomas as he jumps to the side.
Hardonk drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Thomas lands a big right hook! Hardonk looks hurt but is still standing! Thomas lands a left jab and another right hook! This time Hardonk falls down and Thomas dives in with a huge hammer fist! Hardonk's eyes roll back! The referee calls for the bell and Thomas runs up the cage to celebrate with his fans!
