Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jp Benn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos Alberto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Benn might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Icarus by Hopesfall. This should be a great matchup!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Benn clinches up against the cage.
Benn prevents a takedown attempt there.
Alberto is working for takedown but Benn is calmly controlling the position for now.
Alberto changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Benn fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Jp Benn has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Carlos Alberto.
Alberto doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Benn counters with a three punch combo that has Alberto backing up. Alberto nods at Benn to acknowledge the strikes.
Benn swats away the attempt to clinch by Alberto.

Benn changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Alberto looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Benn looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Alberto parries the strikes from Benn easily there. Benn is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Alberto to escape.
