Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Colly Fairtex (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Theodore Loyd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Loyd's choice of entrance music: Throwdown - Burn. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Fedor Mirinova and Aleksei Zolotukhin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fairtex fails with an attempt to clinch.
Loyd looks for a takedown but Fairtex sprawls well.
Fairtex throws a nice inside leg kick.
Loyd pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Fairtex throws a lazy head kick
and Loyd counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Fairtex thinking.
Colly Fairtex seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fairtex lands a body shot.
Fairtex throws a hook to the side of Loyd's head but Loyd sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Loyd uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Fairtex.
Fairtex keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Fairtex tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Fairtex closes the distance and clinches.
Fairtex is looking to break free of the clinch but Loyd has double underhooks.
Fairtex breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
A jab from Loyd finds it's way through Fairtex's defenses.

and Loyd counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Loyd.

Fairtex can't keep his opponent in guard - Loyd advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Loyd shoots in and drives through. Fairtex sprawls well.
Colly Fairtex has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Theodore Loyd.

Fairtex tries to bum rush Loyd with a series of wild strikes but Loyd uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Loyd drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Loyd wants to stand but Fairtex has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Fairtex is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Fairtex is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Loyd is controlling him.
Loyd not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Loyd wants to control from the top but Fairtex keeps moving.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Loyd won't allow Fairtex to get back to his feet.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

and Fairtex counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Fairtex misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Loyd misses with a takedown attempt - Fairtex sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

and Fairtex counters with a head kick.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Fairtex throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

and Fairtex counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Loyd shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Fairtex as he avoids it easily.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Fairtex! Loyd is out on his feet! Fairtex rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Loyd is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Loyd is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
