Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Oleg Kovnir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fedor Emelyanenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kovnir comes to the cage accompanied by National Anthem of Ukraine. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Oleg Kovnir! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Fedor Emelyanenko! The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Leandro Rodrigues and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kovnir scores with a jab to the body. Kovnir throws a predictable looking body shot
and Emelyanenko decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Kovnir's guard. Emelyanenko looks gassed! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Kovnir wants to get back to his feet but Emelyanenko is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Kovnir is wriggling around but Emelyanenko manages to pass to half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round. Emelyanenko is working for a kimura from half guard. He's really concentrating on the hold and it's allowed Kovnir to slip a leg under and get back to full guard. Kovnir wants to stand but Emelyanenko is controlling the position. Kovnir trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. Kovnir could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Emelyanenko drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Emelyanenko jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kovnir is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. Kovnir is trying to force a seperation but Emelyanenko has the dominant position. Emelyanenko wants a takedown but no success here.
Kovnir escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Emelyanenko avoids a punch combination nicely.
Kovnir tries to bum rush Emelyanenko with a series of wild strikes but Emelyanenko uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A right-left combo lands from Kovnir. Emelyanenko shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kovnir pinned against the cage. Kovnir gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. A punch combination from Kovnir misses. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Kovnir scores with a nice strike. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Oleg Kovnir dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Emelyanenko stops Kovnir from standing up. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Kovnir is looking to stand back up but Emelyanenko counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Kovnir. Fedor Emelyanenko has got the better of the ground game so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kovnir is trying to escape back to his feet but Emelyanenko uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Kovnir knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Emelyanenko on the ground. Kovnir is trying to get back to his feet. Kovnir bucks up and tries to throw Emelyanenko off but instead Emelyanenko has got his back! Kovnir has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Emelyanenko is cranking Kovnir's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Kovnir! He's tightened the choke and Kovnir is tapping out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:27 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Fedor Emelyanenko!
