13 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Eleomar Cabbat! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joey Snow! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Tiny Johnson and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cabbat ducks under a wild hook from Snow. Cabbat fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Cabbat closes the distance and lands a one-two. Cabbat has closed the distance and engaged Snow in a clinch.
Snow has a couple of punches blocked by Cabbat.
Snow wants to break the clinch but can't.
Cabbat prevents a body shot from Snow. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Cabbat. Snow gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Cabbat.
Snow is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Cabbat is keeping busy. Cabbat breaks from the clinch.
Cabbat closes the distance and clinches.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cabbat pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Snow falls off balance throwing a combination
and Cabbat counters with a single leg into guard. Snow didn't expect that. Cabbat sitting in guard, not really doing much. Cabbat is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Cabbat controlling from the top position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Snow really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cabbat. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Eleomar Cabbat just wasn't active enough. Snow misses with a double jab
enabling Cabbat to counter with a crisp jab. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Snow lands a body shot.
Cabbat darts in and clinches Snow up against the cage. Snow misses with a punch on the inside.
Cabbat has Snow pressed against the cage, preventing Snow from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Cabbat tries for a takedown but Snow manages to get underhooks.
Snow breaks the clinch.
Cabbat stalks Snow and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Snow's face. Snow staggers backwards, shaken.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cabbat drives through and clinches with Snow against the cage.
Snow tries to stall but Cabbat uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Cabbat slows down the pace here.
Cabbat lands with a right to the head. Cabbat's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Jab from Cabbat. Cabbat moves into the clinch. Cabbat leaning his opponent against the cage. Cabbat manages to break the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Snow misses with an uppercut. Snow rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Cabbat moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Cabbat lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Cabbat gets a takedown into half guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Snow is in trouble now - Cabbat has advanced to mount! Cabbat sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Cabbat is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Cabbat!
