The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Beckenbauer manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Kim on his heels. He'll look to pass Kim's guard now, I'm sure.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Kim is having to fend off submission attempts from Beckenbauer, who is looking to sink in the choke. Beckenbauer doesn't have the hooks in though and Kim manages to reverse position! He's now on top, in his opponent's guard.

A close round but Jin Kim will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Beckenbauer escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kim gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Kim got a little sloppy there for a moment and Beckenbauer has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kim has managed to get both his arms back between Beckenbauer's legs - danger averted.
