Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Thor Hammar! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Randy Johnsson! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Gwen Towbar and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight moves into the clinch position. Hammar tries a knee to the head but Johnsson blocks it.
Johnsson blocks an elbow strike. Hammar blocks an uppercut.
Hammar is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Johnsson is keeping busy. Hammar avoiding damage as Johnsson throws knees to the body.
Johnsson breaks from the clinch.
Hammar keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

A big head kick from Hammar and Johnsson is sent sprawling to the canvas!
Johnsson is rocked! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Johnsson wants to sweep but no luck. Johnsson is still in real trouble! Can Hammar finish him? Johnsson throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Johnsson is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Hammar working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Johnsson has a closed guard, preventing Hammar from standing up. Johnsson seems to have recovered his senses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Johnsson seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Hammar tries to stand but Johnsson is controlling from the bottom. Johnsson has Hammar pulled in close to control his posture. Hammar preventing the sweep. Hammar trying to control the position from guard on top but Johnsson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Hammar being controlled here momentarily. Johnsson wants to sweep here but Hammar controlling him for the moment. Hammar wants to control from the top but Johnsson keeps moving. Hammar stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Johnsson swivels though and keeps the full guard.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Johnsson misses with a body shot.
Hammar tries to clinch but fails miserably and Johnsson counters with a nice body shot.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Johnsson thows a body shot but no joy. Hammar tries a head kick but it misses.
Hammar shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Johnsson counters with a nice low kick that buckles Hammar's knee momentarily. Johnsson bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Johnsson looks gassed! Johnsson working away. Johnsson has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Hammar! A nice elbow there by Johnsson. Hammar takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Hammar tries to hold on but Johnsson postures up. Johnsson landing shots from mount. Johnsson content just to control the position here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hammar tries to hold on but Johnsson pushes him away. Johnsson looking to control and managing it successfully. Hammar is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Randy Johnsson will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Hammar has his takedown stuffed and Johnsson counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Hammar! Johnsson lands a nice shot to the head. Hammar is trying to escape the mount.
Johnsson landing strikes from the mount and Hammar is in trouble! Johnsson has hold of Hammar's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Hammar manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Hammar wants to control but Johnsson is having none of it. The referee warns Hammar that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Hammar tries to hold on but Johnsson postures up. Johnsson pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hammar is in all sorts of trouble here.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Hammar is in all sorts of trouble here.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Thor Hammar just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Johnsson takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Hammar tries to clinch but fails miserably and Johnsson counters with a shoot takedown. Hammar fights it but they end up in guard. Hammar is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Johnsson is stalling in the full guard. Let's hope that Johnsson has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Johnsson landing with the ground and pound. Johnssonis looking to pass into half guard but Hammar pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Hammar is in guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hammar landing some decent shots from guard. Hammar is fighting to break Johnsson's control of his arms but Johnsson is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Hammar wants to control from the top but Johnsson keeps moving. Johnsson pulls Hammar in close to prevent any damage. Johnsson has his foot on Hammar's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Hammar works his way back into a safe position though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Randy Johnsson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Hammar's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Hammar fails with the takedown. Johnsson keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Hammar lands a head kick. Johnsson smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Johnsson throws the kick towards the body but Hammar avoids it. Johnsson circles away from the clinch attempt.

Johnsson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Johnsson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Hammar scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Johnsson clinches. Johnsson gets underhooks to prevent Hammar's takedown attempt.
Johnsson lands with a short head shot on the inside. Johnsson creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Hammar tries to pull guard but Johnsson won't allow it.

The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Johnsson is trying to break free. Hammar fails to pull the fight into his guard.

It looks like Randy Johnsson has been cut. Hammar fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Hammar tries to break the clinch but Johnsson is controlling the position. Hammar goes for a takedown attempt but Johnsson pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Thor Hammar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hammar changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Johnsson tries to avoid it but Hammar manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Johnsson to the ground. Johnsson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Hammar tries to clinch but fails miserably and Johnsson counters with a leg kick. Hammar misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Johnsson is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Hammar rather than just go for the knockout. Hammar doesn't succeed with the takedown and Johnsson counters with a low kick, right behind Hammar 's knee.
That's three minutes gone in the round. No joy there for Johnsson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Johnsson closes the distance and clinches. Johnsson cracks Hammar with a nice body shot. Johnsson stalling.
Johnsson lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Johnsson lands a damaging elbow. Johnsson lands with a short shot to the head. Johnsson turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Johnsson manages to end up in side control. Hammar taking punishment in the form of punches.
Hammar tries to buck Johnsson off but Johnsson is having none of it. Hammar is trying to get back to his feet. Hammar gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Hammar is squirming around, avoiding Johnsson's attempts to control the action. Hammar can't escape the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hammar is working hard here to advance position. Hammar really wants to buck Johnsson off and get back to his feet. Hammar wants to hold on but Johnsson pushes him away. Hammar manages to control the position for a moment. Johnsson won't let Hammar get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Hammar keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Randy Johnsson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Johnsson winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
