Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Max Zorin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Brone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brone has chosen FINLANDIA by Jean Sibelius as his entrance music. Max Zorin has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zorin throws a hook to the side of Brone's head but Brone sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Brone fails with a takedown attempt.
Brone shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Zorin as he jumps to the side.
Zorin displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Brone.
Max Zorin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jason Brone.
Zorin dips to his left and cracks Brone with an uppercut!

It looks like Jason Brone has been cut.
Brone takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

An elbow from Brone crashes against the mat.
Zorin can't do much from the bottom here.
Zorin is looking to regain half guard here but Brone keeps moving and retains side control.
Zorin is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Brone off and has taken his back!

Zorin is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Brone is defending well though. Zorin let's go of the attempt for now.

Zorin wants to control the position but Brone frees himself and scrambles - Zorin manages to regain control in side control.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Zorin is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Brone is trying to escape and Zorin transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Brone is forced to tap! Nice work there by Zorin! Very nice indeed!
