Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between JarJar Shots (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eddy Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, JarJar Shots! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Eddy Jones! The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Bruno Lombardi and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight moves into the clinch position. Shots manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Shots bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Jones's guard. Shots controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Jones wants to sweep but no luck. Jones manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Shots manages to get himself to full guard.
Shots wants to get back to his feet but Jones is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Shots looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Jones trying to control the position from guard on top but Shots is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shots trying to control the position here. Jones trying to control but Shots is working from the bottom.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Shots takes a shot right to the bread basket. Shots shoots for a double leg takedown but Jones sprawls well. He's pushed Shots's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Shots drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Jones manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Shots dives in and grabs Jones's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jones pushes down on Shots's head and hops out. Jones's jab looks to have found its range, popping Shots under the eye. The fighters circle momentarily. Jones darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Shots misses with an uppercut
and Jones counters with a low kick, right behind Shots 's knee. Shots shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Jones as he avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for JarJar Shots. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jones ducks under a wild hook from Shots. Shots takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Jones circles away from the clinch attempt.
A lazy left from Jones finds it's target. Jones swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Shots. Jones throws the kick towards the body but Shots avoids it. Shots throws a half hearted mid kick. Shots looks to land a body kick but Jones moved away. Jones lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Shots at a distance.
Shots fails in his attempt to clinch. No luck for Shots with that takedown attempt. Shots takes one on the button.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shots swings and misses with a hook to the body.
A lazy left from Jones finds it's target. Shots throws the kick towards the body but Jones avoids it. Jones scoring well with a low kick there.
Jones cracks a nice hook into Shots's ribs. Jones connects with a solid leg kick. Jones ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Shots is breathing heavily. Shots shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Jones as he avoids it easily. Jones scoring well with a low kick there.
Shots avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Nice sprawl there from Jones as Shots shoots in. Shots clinches with his opponent.
That's four minutes gone in the round. This has been an exciting period of action! Jones is trying to break the clinch but Shots is controlling him. Shots tries to stall but Jones uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Jones scores with a jab to the jaw. Jones stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Jones wants it to stay on the feet. Jones dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Jones looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Shots shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Jones as he avoids it easily. Jones lands a body shot.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! A nice inside leg kick there by Jones. That's going to slow Shots down. Eddy Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Shots stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Jones. Jones lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Eddy Jones dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Shots needs to keep his hands up - Jones had a free shot at his head there. Shots is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Jones's half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jones holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now. Jones is refusing to be controlled, as Shots sits in half guard. Jones tries to get to full guard but Shots has control of the leg. Jones is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Shots in particular looking to stall. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
The ref stands the fighters back up because JarJar Shots just wasn't active enough. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Jones catches Shots with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
That's one minute gone in the round. Shots shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Jones but Jones pushes him off and we're back to square one. Jones scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. The crowd cheers as Jones lands an impressive looking overhand right. Shots doesn't seem phased though. Shots takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Shots blocks a low kick nicely. Jones throws a low kick but Shots moves out of range easily. Shots takes a shot right to the bread basket. Shots moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Jones lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Jones throws a leg kick that is checked and Shots counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Jones's guard now. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Shots working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Jones's head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Shots tries to free his leg and advance position but Jones is retaining full guard. Jones is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Shots is controlling him. Shots passes easily into side control. Nice work. An elbow from Shots crashes against the mat.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jones can do anything to dispel that myth. Shots stands up. Jones has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Jones slaps away a takedown attempt from Shots, before circling back to the center of the mat. Shots throws a leg kick but Jones moved away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shots tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Shots shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Jones as he jumps to the side. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for JarJar Shots. That's going to take a lot out of him. Shots tries to move into range but Jones moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Jones lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Jones tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Shots was well out of range. Poor timing from Jones. Jones swats away the attempt to clinch by Shots. Jones jabs at Shots's body. Jones avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Jones comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Shots takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Shots tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jones swats him away and circles back towards the center. Jones throws a leg kick that misses. Jones dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Shots misses with a takedown attempt - Jones sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Jones throws a leg kick and Shots counters with a nice body kick.
Jones connects with a crisp jab. Jones keeps the fight on the outside. Jones circles away from the clinch attempt.
Shots clinches. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Shots breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Jones wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Eddy Jones will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!

Eddy Jones seems to be getting the better of the standup. Shots looks for a takedown but Jones sprawls well. JarJar Shots is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Shots moves into the clinch successfully.

Shots tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Jones smiles and moves away.

That's one minute gone in the round. Jones stuns Shots with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Jones lands a head shot. Jones fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Shots looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Jones lands a nice looking body shot.
Shots takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Jones works Shots's body with a nice hook. Shots looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. Jones scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Jones smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Shots moves in looking to clinch but Jones pushes him off. Jones throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Shots stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Shots takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Shots takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Jones moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones lands a nice hook to Shots's body. Shots takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Jones works the jab nicely. Jones scores with a sloppy right hand. Shots should have avoided that one. Good leg kick by Jones there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Jones throws a combination. Shots tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Jones!

That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones feints and then cracks Shots's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Shots down. Shots tries to close the distance and clinch but Jones swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Jones throws a combination. Shots tries to block but a couple of punches get through. No luck with that takedown attempt from Shots. Jones scores with a body shot.
Shots gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Shots tries a head kick but it misses.
Shots fails in his attempt to clinch. Jones scores with a nice right hand.
Shots takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Shots misses with a low kick. Jones scores with a punch to the head. Eddy Jones is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Shots lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Jones circles away quickly and effectively. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Jones scores with a punch to the head. Jones has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Jones lands with a straight right. Shots didn't see that one coming. Shots is looking to clinch. Shots shoots in for a takedown but Jones shows good takedown defense. Jones throws a front kick aimed at Shots's knee but Shots avoids it well. Shots shoots in but Jones avoids the takedown attempt easily. Eddy Jones is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Jones throws a low kick but it's checked well by Shots. JarJar Shots has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Jones fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Shots looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
And that's the end of the fight! Eddy Jones comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Jones winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
