Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Clinton Johnson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Jonathan King!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, James Ackerman and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
King shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Johnson counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Johnson stands up over King, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Johnson has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
King utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
King preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Johnson wants to pass the guard but King is keeping the position.
Johnson trying to control but King is working from the bottom.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Johnson trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Johnson is fighting to break King's control of his arms but King is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Johnson drops back, looking for a kneebar! King looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. King looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from King!
Johnson is trying to improve his position.
Johnson throws a couple of strikes even though he's not really in a good position to do so.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Johnson is not content to let King control the position.
King controls the position.
Johnson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for King on the ground.
King is looking to take a break and control but Johnson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Johnson is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
King trying to control the position but Johnson is working away.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
King is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
King has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Johnson looks very frustrated and is flailing away with strikes from the bottom. His corner are telling him to stay calm.
Johnson is looking to get to half guard.
Johnson is squirming around, avoiding King's attempts to control the action.

King working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Johnson looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by King! Submission of the night perhaps?
