Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, James Durham! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Miyamoto Musashi! The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Taro Takaoka and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Durham scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Musashi tries for a takedown but Durham sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Durham throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Durham throws a series of punches but Musashi moves out of range. Some bone on bone action there as Musashi checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Durham misses the shot to the body. Musashi throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Musashi shoots in and drives through. Durham sprawls well. Durham will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Musashi has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Musashi there as he acknowledges the shot. Durham clinches up against the cage. Musashi pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Durham closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Musashi quickly recovers to half guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Musashi throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

That's one minute gone in the round. Durham keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Musashi tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Durham trying to control the pace. Musashi is looking to improve his position.

The ref stands the fighters back up. James Durham wasn't doing enough on the ground. The fight stays on the outside here - Durham looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Durham tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Durham scores with a sloppy right hand. Musashi should have avoided that one. Musashi drives through with a takedown into guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Musashi missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Musashi looks gassed! Musashi throws and elbow that misses. Durham uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Musashi's guard. Nice move by Durham! Durham lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Durham stands up from Musashi's guard - Durham perhaps looking for a knockout. Durham looking to score a takedown here. Musashi is defending well but Durham drives through and ends up in Musashi's guard. Durham controlling from the top position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Musashi has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Musashi throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

The ref stands the fighters back up because James Durham just wasn't active enough. Musashi takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. The fight moves into the clinch position. Musashi misses with a hook to the ribs.
Durham wants to break the clinch but can't.
Durham blocks a body shot from Musashi. Musashi fails to pull the fight into his guard.
James Durham has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Miyamoto Musashi. Musashi has Durham pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Durham manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Musashi misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Durham.
Musashi wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Durham lands with a left to the head. Musashi prevents Durham from breaking the clinch. Durham breaks from the clinch.
Oooooh!!! Durham has knocked Musashi down with a huge combo! Durham steps away and waves a wobbly Musashi back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Musashi is rocked! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Durham cracks Musashi with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Musashi looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Durham finish him?
Musashi is still on wobbly legs! Can Durham finish him? Durham is throwing punches like he's double parked. Oh my word! Huge right hand from Durham shuts the power down on Musashi. Lights out, game over! Durham is your winner.
