Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mike Rollins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ronnie Lott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rollins comes to the cage accompanied by Eye Of the Tiger. Lott has chosen Get Up as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mike Rollins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ronnie Lott!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Gregory Folan and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rollins fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Rollins lands the left hand.


It looks like Ronnie Lott has been cut.
Rollins uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Rollins looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Rollins throws a series of punches but Lott avoids them all with ease.
Rollins throws a right and a left that Lott avoids nicely.
Rollins rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Lott moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Rollins misses with a series of wild punches.
No luck for Lott with that takedown attempt.
Rollins fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Lott looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Mike Rollins has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ronnie Lott.
Rollins throws a combination. Lott tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Lott tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Rollins manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Lott forces Rollins back against the cage and clinches.
Lott tries to pull guard but Rollins won't allow it.
Rollins is pressed up against the cage. Lott has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Rollins down to the mat. Rollins avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Lott just misses with a punch to the body.
Lott takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Rollins moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Mike Rollins seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Rollins misses with a wild combination.
Rollins throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Lott on the side of the head.
Lott is trying desperately to land a takedown but Rollins is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Lott.
Lott tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Rollins manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Rollins closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Rollins misses with a few strikes there.
Rollins throws a series of punches but Lott avoids them all with ease.

Lott looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Rollins will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

That has opened up Ronnie Lott's cut even more.

Rollins fails to land with a series of punches.
Lott shoots for a takedown but Rollins saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Rollins thuds a left hand into Lott's body.
Rollins throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Lott throws a lazy right hand but Rollins sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Rollins misses with a jab, cross combination.
No joy there for Rollins, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Rollins lands with a nice combination. Lott backs away looking to recover.
Rollins lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Lott circles away quickly and effectively.
Rollins misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Lott.
Lott tries a head kick but it misses.
Lott has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Lott changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Rollins looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Lott wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Rollins, who protects the arm well.

Lott is trying to get an arm triangle but Rollins is defending well.
Rollins is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

Lott tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Lott thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Rollins with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Rollins smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Rollins throws a right and a left that Lott avoids nicely.
Lott tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Rollins fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Lott is trying hard to land a takedown here. Rollins sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Ronnie Lott's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Rollins is working the combinations to good effect here.

Lott tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Lott shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Rollins sprawls well. Rollins wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Lott gets slowly back to his feet.

Rollins looks up at the clock and then as Lott takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Rollins smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

and Rollins counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Rollins lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Rollins lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Lott circles away quickly and effectively.
No joy there for Lott, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Rollins swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Lott.

Lott shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Lott was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Rollins has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Ronnie Lott has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Lott misses with some ground and pound and Rollins recovers position to half guard.

Lott is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Rollins defends it well.

Mike Rollins is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Lott is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Rollins is just riding it out for now. Lott eventually gives up the hold.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Rollins is looking to stand back up but Lott counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Rollins.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Rollins, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
