Swagger comes to the cage accompanied by Killing in the Name Of. Moreland has chosen Enter Sandman as his entrance music. Jack Swagger is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jack Swagger!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jesse Moreland!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Steve Smith and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Swagger defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Moreland.
Moreland shoots in for a takedown but Swagger shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Swagger blocks a leg kick.
Moreland shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Swagger pinned against the cage. Swagger gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Jack Swagger has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jesse Moreland.
Moreland shoots in for a takedown but Swagger shows good takedown defense.
Moreland fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Moreland tries to score a power double leg takedown but Swagger sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Moreland somewhat.

Moreland escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Swagger gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Swagger might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Moreland pulls Swagger in close to prevent any damage.

Moreland manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Swagger manages to get himself to full guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Crunch! Swagger slams his shin into Moreland's torso.

Swagger stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Swagger wants it to stay on the feet.

Horrible takedown by Swagger or perhaps it was just good defense by Moreland which made him look bad.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Swagger, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
