Hazlett has chosen Crank that Travis Barker Remix as his entrance music. Dustin Hazlett has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Janek Grzmot!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dustin Hazlett!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, David Schapiro and Lou da Vinci.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hazlett throws a sloppy head kick and Grzmot moves out of range easily.
Grzmot just misses with a punch to the body.
Hazlett fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Hazlett shoots in looking for a takedown but Grzmot manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Hazlett's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
A jab lands there for Grzmot.
Hazlett changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Grzmot tries to avoid it but Hazlett manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Grzmot to the ground. Grzmot escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Janek Grzmot has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dustin Hazlett.
Grzmot misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Grzmot connects with a looping right hand.


It looks like Dustin Hazlett has been cut.
Hazlett fails with the takedown
and Grzmot counters with a slapping leg kick.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Grzmot swings for the body but Hazlett moves out of range.
Grzmot connects with a jab.

Hazlett throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Grzmot was covering up waiting for the punch and Hazlett finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Grzmot has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Hazlett wants to pass the guard but Grzmot is keeping the position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Grzmot keeping moving, preventing Hazlett from controlling successfully.
Hazlett tries to free his leg and advance position but Grzmot is retaining full guard.
Hazlett trying to control the position from guard on top but Grzmot is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Dustin Hazlett hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Hazlett misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Grzmot feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Hazlett's calf.
Hazlett on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Grzmot stuffs the takedown.
Grzmot connects with a jab.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
A nice inside leg kick there by Grzmot. That's going to slow Hazlett down.
Hazlett looks gassed!
Grzmot fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Hazlett has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Oh, that's a big right hand from Grzmot and Hazlett goes tumbling to the canvas! Grzmot follows him to the ground and looks to finish from half guard.


Hazlett is rocked!

Hazlett is still in real trouble! Can Grzmot finish him?
Grzmot has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Hazlett seems to have recovered his senses.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

We're going to have a standup here because Janek Grzmot wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Grzmot bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Hazlett's head.
Hazlett shoots in looking for a takedown but Grzmot manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Hazlett's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
A jab from Grzmot does it's job there.
Hazlett tries for a takedown but Grzmot circles away easily
and Grzmot scores with a counter punch that sends Hazlett to the canvas! Grzmot smells blood - he's punishing Hazlett with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Hazlett has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Janek Grzmot!
