The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alexander throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Yank will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Alexander connects with a body shot.
Yank throws a shot from downtown. Alexander moves away and avoids it.
Yank jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Alexander lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Alexander scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Alexander's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Yank connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Alexander scrambles back to his feet.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Yank throws and elbow that misses. Alexander uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Yank's guard. Nice move by Alexander!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Yank wants to control but Alexander postures up.
Yank is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Alexander is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Spankda Yank will probably get the nod.

Yank unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Alexander! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Yank is unloading with more strikes now! Alexander drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!
