Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Nathan Wiggins! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Michael St Pierre! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Dillan Fox and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wiggins shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. St Pierre is trying to defend but Wiggins finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Wiggins postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for St Pierre to stand up. A combination from Wiggins does no damage. St Pierre rushes Wiggins and presses him up against the cage. St Pierre is leaning against Wiggins and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. St Pierre pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Wiggins closes the distance and pushes St Pierre back into the cage. St Pierre jumps guard but Wiggins stands there with St Pierre around his waist. St Pierre gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Wiggins ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Wiggins no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Wiggins is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. St Pierre stands up from Wiggins's guard - St Pierre perhaps looking for a knockout. Nathan Wiggins seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

St Pierre throws out a leg kick but Wiggins moves out of range and St Pierre only half commits. St Pierre moves into the clinch. Wiggins is fighting off a takedown attempt but St Pierre is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Wiggins to the mat. Wiggins regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. St Pierre with a flurry of punches that miss. St Pierre looking to pass the guard. Wiggins kicks St Pierre off and gets to his feet. St Pierre instigates a clinch. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! St Pierre tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Wiggins smiles and moves away.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Wiggins feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Wiggins wants to stand but St Pierre is controlling his posture from full guard. St Pierre is working an open guard so Wiggins takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Wiggins is breathing heavily. St Pierre checks the leg kick. The fight moves into the clinch position. This has been an exciting period of action! Wiggins will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. St Pierre closes the distance and clinches up with Wiggins, looking for a takedown. St Pierre pushes Wiggins against the cage but Wiggins circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Wiggins throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around St Pierre's waist but St Pierre gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Wiggins off to one side. Wiggins decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. St Pierre pushes Wiggins off looking to stand but Wiggins dives back in and keeps control.
Wiggins stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! No luck for St Pierre with that takedown attempt. Wiggins lands a two punch combo.

St Pierre gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. St Pierre moves into the clinch successfully.
