Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Stan Pede (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tdk Spark (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Stan Pede!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tdk Spark!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Frank Dennis and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spark fails to land the takedown.
Pede slips a jab and a cross from Spark.
Spark throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Pede's waist but Pede gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Spark off to one side.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Spark.
Stan Pede has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tdk Spark.
Pede slips a jab and a cross from Spark.
Spark connects with a high kick.


It looks like Stan Pede has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Spark gets caught flat footed, as Pede shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Pede drops back looking for a leg! Spark is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Spark manages to kick Pede off! Pede jumps back into Spark's guard.
Pede passes Spark's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Pede seems to be looking for submissions.

Spark is defending against the submission attempts here by Pede.

Pede is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Spark defends it well.

Spark tries to get to full guard but Pede has control of the leg.

Pede is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Pede is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Spark has managed to free his arm - good work.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Spark kicks Pede off and gets back to his feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Spark shoots in for a takedown but Pede shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Spark shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Pede as he jumps to the side.
Spark looks to land a combination but Pede avoids it well.
Pede changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Spark tries to avoid it but Pede manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Spark to the ground. Spark escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Pede blocks a head kick by Spark.
Pede shoots for a takedown but Spark saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Tdk Spark seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Spark lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Pede is breathing heavily.
Spark fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
No joy there for Spark, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Nice sprawl there from Spark as Pede shoots in.
Spark tries to clinch up but Pede circles away and keeps his distance.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Spark tries a head kick but it misses.
Spark scores with a nice body kick.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Spark throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Pede.
A head kick misses from Spark.
Pede slaps away a takedown attempt from Spark, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Spark tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Pede slips a jab and a cross from Spark.
Spark tries to clinch there but Pede circles away.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Spark displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Pede.
Pede blocks a head kick by Spark.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tdk Spark dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Stan Pede's cut.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Spark shoots in for a double leg but Pede sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Spark fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Spark pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Spark wants to clinch up but Pede keeps it at a distance.
Pede avoids the head kick by Spark.
Tdk Spark seems to be getting the better of the standup.

and Pede counters with a shoot takedown. Spark fights it but they end up in guard.
Pede pushing down on Spark's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Spark tries to get to full guard but Pede has control of the leg.

Pede wants to work for an arm triangle but Spark is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Pede is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Spark is just riding it out for now. Pede eventually gives up the hold.

Pede passes the guard and advances to mount!

Spark really wants to buck Pede off and get back to his feet.

Pede is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Spark can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Pede swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!
