Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Percy Berto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Edward Syah Pernong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Percy Berto! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Edward Syah Pernong! The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Berto tries to keep at a distance but Syah Pernong has taken the fight into the clinch. Syah Pernong is pressed up against the cage. Berto has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Syah Pernong down to the mat. Syah Pernong avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Syah Pernong gets a double leg takedown into Berto's guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Berto is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Syah Pernong is aware though and is defending well. Berto working for a triangle but Syah Pernong defends it easily.
Syah Pernong works over Berto with some ground and pound from guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Berto has his foot on Syah Pernong's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Syah Pernong works his way back into a safe position though. Syah Pernong is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Berto could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Berto is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Syah Pernong pulls his head out easily. Syah Pernong is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Berto looking for submissions off his back. Berto might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Berto looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Berto actively working from the bottom here. Berto looking for submissions off his back. Berto is breathing heavily. Berto is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Syah Pernong pulls his head out easily. Syah Pernong is keen to just control but Berto is a slippery customer. That's three minutes gone in the round. Berto tries to bench press Syah Pernong off him but Syah Pernong keeps the position. Syah Pernong is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Berto has escaped the position, nice work there. Syah Pernong tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Syah Pernong has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Syah Pernong lands some shots froms side control. Berto manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Syah Pernong moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Berto. Berto sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Berto moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Syah Pernong postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Syah Pernong got a little sloppy there for a moment and Berto has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Syah Pernong has managed to get both his arms back between Berto's legs - danger averted. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Syah Pernong won't allow Berto to sweep him here. Berto preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Syah Pernong pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Berto is keeping the position for now. Syah Pernong has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Berto to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Syah Pernong is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Berto pulls down on the head and he's put Syah Pernong to sleep! This one is all over!
