Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Byron Marchand (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Scrooge McDuck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McDuck has chosen Scrooge McDuck as his entrance music. Byron Marchand had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 156.8lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
An inside leg kick lands from Marchand.
McDuck fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

McDuck drops back looking for a leg! Marchand is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Marchand manages to kick McDuck off! McDuck jumps back into Marchand's guard.
McDuck must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Marchand takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
McDuck wants to lay and pray for a moment but Marchand keeps working.

Marchand is looking to clinch but McDuck is avoiding it.
Scrooge McDuck seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McDuck fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Marchand on the side of the head.
No luck for McDuck with that takedown attempt.

McDuck connects with a leg kick. Marchand looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
McDuck tries to land a front kick but Marchand steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

McDuck decides to stand back up.

McDuck lands a huge takedown. Marchand is out but the ref is slow to react and McDuck lands 3 more undefended punches before the fight is stopped. Brutal finish. Marchand lies on the canvas for a good minute before the doctors bring him round. Good to see he's OK.
