Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kid Buu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kyle Van Hook (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Van Hook has chosen The Cure's Close To Me as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are George Francis, Gwen Towbar and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Buu feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Van Hook's calf.
A nice inside leg kick there by Buu. That's going to slow Van Hook down.
Van Hook misses with a leg kick
and Buu counters with a thumping low kick.
Van Hook misses with a takedown attempt - Buu sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Buu misses with a head kick.
Van Hook tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Buu counters with a nice kick to the body.
A combination from Buu does no damage.
Buu checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Van Hook blocks a head kick by Buu.
Van Hook tries to close the distance and clinch up but Buu swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Buu circles away from the clinch attempt.
Van Hook misses with a body kick.
Van Hook manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Buu on his heels. He'll look to pass Buu's guard now, I'm sure.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Van Hook wants to pass the guard but Buu is keeping the position.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Van Hook controlling from the top position.
Van Hook passes Buu's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Still in half guard, Van Hook seems content to control.
Buu is looking to control Van Hook's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Buu avoid being mounted?
Van Hook wants to pass the guard but Buu is defending well.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Van Hook not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Van Hook has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Buu defend it? Van Hook steps over the head and cranks it - Buu is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Van Hook!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Kyle Van Hook! Kyle Van Hook retains his bantamweight title!
