Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
11 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chuck Inglish!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Billy Mitchell!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Stewart Dunkirk and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Inglish takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Inglish throws a leg kick
and Mitchell counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Inglish tries to clinch but Mitchell moves out of range.
Inglish tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Mitchell was well out of range. Poor timing from Inglish.
Inglish moves out of range of the body kick.
Inglish gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Mitchell breaks the clinch.
Inglish pivots, looking for a leg kick but Mitchell is out of range and Inglish settles back down.
Mitchell lands a really nice looking cross but Inglish seems unphased.
Inglish misses with an uppercut. Mitchell saw that one coming.
Inglish blocks a head kick by Mitchell.
Chuck Inglish seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mitchell plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Mitchell has managed to clinch.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Inglish lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Mitchell backwards.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Mitchell pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Inglish tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Mitchell clinches up with Inglish and pushes him back against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round.
A short body shot lands from Inglish as the two fighters clinch.
Inglish lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Mitchell breaks from the clinch.
Inglish's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Inglish duly obliges.
Mitchell is rocked!
Inglish looks for a left high kick but can't connect. Inglish backs up to catch a breather... no he lunges forward with a huge flying knee that smacks Mitchell's temple! It sends Mitchell violently to the canvas! The crowd goes nuts as Inglish celebrates and the doctors try to help Mitchell!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Flying Knee). Chuck Inglish!
