Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rashad Evans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Amir Halilov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Rashad Evans! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Amir Halilov! The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Aleksandr Martynov and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Evans defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Halilov. Amir Halilov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Evans doesn't manage to clinch there - Halilov circles away.
Evans gets a clinch. Evans could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Evans prevents a takedown attempt there.
Halilov has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Evans is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Rashad Evans has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Amir Halilov. Evans stalling the fight.
Evans gets a warning from the ref for wasting time. Halilov changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Evans fights it off and pushes away nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Evans stuns Halilov with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Evans punishes Halilov's body with a nice straight punch. Halilov will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Evans lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Halilov fails with the takedown. A lazy left from Evans finds it's target. Evans misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Evans stuffs the takedown attempt from Halilov. Halilov gets slowly back to his feet. Evans missing with a left hand there. Halilov was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Evans pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Evans waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Halilov. Evans swinging wildly here.
Evans looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Halilov is controlling Evans's posture. Evans has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Halilov is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Evans throwing strikes from guard but Halilov blocks nicely. Halilov keeping moving, preventing Evans from controlling successfully. Evans being controlled here momentarily.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Amir Halilov wasn't active enough on the ground. Halilov shoots and misses and Evans counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Halilov walks into a straight right hand from Evans. Halilov shoots in and bounces Evans off the ropes to secure the takedown into guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Halilov trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Halilov trying to control the position from guard on top but Evans is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Halilov forces his way into half guard. Evans might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Evans tries to roll over but Halilov keeps him under control. Halilov is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Evans knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Halilov on the ground. Halilov maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Evans could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Halilov has cracked it and Evans is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Halilov!
