And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 9 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jesus Gonzalez!
The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Fedor Mirinova and Igor Prikhodko.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gonzalez just misses with a punch to the body.
Patterson fails to land the takedown.
Patterson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Gonzalez moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Patterson throws a right and a left that both miss.
Some wild striking there from Patterson.
No luck for Patterson with that takedown attempt.
Patterson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Gonzalez but Gonzalez pushes him off and we're back to square one.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Derek Patterson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Gonzalez feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Patterson's calf.
Gonzalez slips under a jab.
Gonzalez lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Patterson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Patterson looks to clinch
and Gonzalez connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

It looks like Derek Patterson has been cut.
The fighters circling - Gonzalez throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Derek Patterson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gonzalez displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Patterson throws out the jab.
A combination from Patterson does no damage.
Patterson is breathing heavily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Gonzalez swings for the body but Patterson moves out of range.

Patterson throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Patterson takes one to the chin there.

Patterson is rocked!
Gonzalez ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Oh Patterson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Gonzalez punishes Patterson's body with a nice straight punch.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Gonzalez steps into range and unloads a brutal right left combo! Patterson is out on his feet! Gonzalez sets himself and nearly takes Patterson's head off with a straight right, sending him crashing to the mat! Wow, that was nasty... but awesome! Wooo!
