The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Madden looking to score a takedown here. Murphy is defending well but Madden drives through and ends up in Murphy's guard.
Murphy looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Murphy controls Madden momentarily but Madden frees himself.
Madden passes Murphy's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Madden lands a nice short elbow.
Madden scores with a big shot! Murphy's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Murphy! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!
