Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jason Tuner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Monster Guy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jason Tuner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Monster Guy!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Anni Minnemäki and Roosa Järviläinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tuner scores a takedown into full mount!
Guy is trying desperately to improve position.

Tuner looking to secure an arm triangle but Guy defends it well.
Guy gets back to half guard.

Tuner is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Guy tries to roll over but Tuner keeps him under control.
Guy is staying active underneath Tuner, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Guy is pressing down on Tuner's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Guy looking to hit a scissor sweep but Tuner is one step ahead there.

Guy is looking for a triangle but Tuner pushes his legs off easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tuner wants to control from the top but Guy keeps moving.
Guy wants to control but Tuner passes easily into half guard.
Guy tries to roll over but Tuner keeps him under control.
Guy is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Guy looks gassed!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Tuner wants to lay and pray for a moment but Guy keeps working.
Tuner is pressing down on Guy's thigh, looking to free his foot. Guy is holding on for now.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Guy throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Tuner fails with the takedown.
Tuner throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Guy's waist but Guy gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Tuner off to one side.
Tuner fails with the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jason Tuner. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Guy changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Tuner looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Guy tries for a kimura but Tuner is defending well.
Tuner manages to get back to half guard.
Tuner gets full guard.
Guy is pushing down on Tuner's leg trying to pass to half guard. Tuner is fighting to maintain full guard but Guy has managed to sneak the leg through.
Tuner might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Tuner is looking to control Guy's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Tuner avoid being mounted?
Guy prevents Tuner from improving his position.
Tuner manages to get to full guard.
Tuner looking to control.
Guy with a flurry of punches that miss.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Guy with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Guy trying to control the position from guard on top but Tuner is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Tuner working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Guy.

Tuner working for a triangle but Guy defends it easily.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Tuner with a poor takedown

and Guy counters with a shoot takedown. Tuner fights it but they end up in guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Tuner has momentary wrist control but Guy slips an elbow through the middle.
Tuner is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Tuner is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Guy is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Monster Guy dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.



Tuner darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Tuner wants to take a breather but Guy is having none of it.

Tuner is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Guy has managed to free his arm - good work.
Guy is trying to control but Tuner manages to pass to mount!
Guy gets back to half guard.
Tuner seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Guy does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Tuner is looking to stall here but Guy recovers full guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Guy can do anything to dispel that myth.

Guy keeping moving, preventing Tuner from controlling successfully.
Tuner works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Guy is breathing heavily.
Guy regains full guard. Nicely done.
Tuner looking to pass the guard.
Tuner trying to control the position from guard on top but Guy is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Tuner is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Guy is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Guy tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Tuner wants to control from the top but Guy keeps moving.
Monster Guy has got the better of the ground game so far.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Guy pushes a forearm under Tuner's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Tuner is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:25 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Monster Guy!
