Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kazuki Kobayashi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pavel Katasonov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kobayashi comes to the cage accompanied by Mars - The Bringer of War. Katasonov has chosen In Extremo - Wind as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice defenses there by Katasonov.
Kazuki Kobayashi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Katasonov moves out of range of the leg kick from Kobayashi.
Kobayashi is looking to clinch.
Katasonov keeps the fight on the outside.
Kobayashi lands a big head kick that sends Katasonov tumbling to the mat! Kobayashi takes a step backwards and waves Katasonov back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Katasonov lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

and Katasonov counters with a takedown into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
An elbow from Katasonov crashes against the mat.
Katasonov is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Kobayashi is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Katasonov goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Kobayashi rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Katasonov's guard! Nice work there by Kobayashi!
Katasonov working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Kobayashi has passed into half guard!

Katasonov is looking for a sweep. Kobayashi is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
