Shears connects with a jab.
Adams missing with a left hand there. Shears was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Shears lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Adams misses with a lunging right hand
and Shears counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Adams gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Shears trying to control the position from guard on top but Adams is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Shears thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Shears throwing shots but Adams is blocking nicely.
Shears is taking a breather. Adams says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Shears throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Shears seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Adams is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
