Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jan David!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Alan Glass and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dance misses with a double jab
and David counters with a stiff right hand.
Dance dives in and grabs David's left leg, looking for a takedown. David pushes down on Dance's head and hops out.
David throws a hook to the side of Dance's head but Dance sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

and David holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Dance wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Dance is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bill Dance. That's going to take a lot out of him.
David tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
David prevents a takedown attempt there.
David stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
David works on Dance's body with a couple of short punches.
Dance drops to a knee looking for a takedown but David gets the underhooks and prevents it.

David lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Dance backwards.
David doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
David tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Dance goes for a takedown attempt but David pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Bill Dance seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dance misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from David.

Dance shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Dance was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Dance unloads with some shots from mount but David bucks and avoids them well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
David wants to control but Dance is having none of it.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
David tries to reverse the position but Dance maintains control.
Dance throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for David because Dance loaded up on that one.

Dance unloads with some shots from mount but David bucks and avoids them well.
Dance is trying to control here but David has managed to regain half guard.
Dance is looking to take a break and control but David is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
David slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Dance throws an elbow that misses. David uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Dance's guard. Nice move by David!

Dance looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Dance fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
David moves into range and connects with a jab.
Dance tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but David was well out of range. Poor timing from Dance.
David just misses with a punch to the body.
David lands with a hook. Dance tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jan David dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Dance will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

David uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Dance.

and David makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
No luck for Dance with that takedown attempt.

Dance tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but David swivels and escapes.
David scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Dance doesn't seem bothered though.

Dance swats away the attempt to clinch by David.
David feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Dances jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Dance ducks down and throws a hook to the body but David moves away.
David misses with a body shot.
David fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Dance on the side of the head.
Dance misses with a wild body shot.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Horrible takedown by Dance or perhaps it was just good defense by David which made him look bad.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Dance fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but David avoids it really well and circles away.
Jan David seems to be getting the better of the standup.
David throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Dance gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

David walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Dance drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! David swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Dance's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jan David!
A very excited looking Jan David made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
