The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Koira tests Swanson's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Swanson waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Koira.
Koira is looking to clinch but Swanson is avoiding it.

Swanson loads up on a big right hand but Koira slips the punch.
Koira fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Swanson manages to avoid it.
A telegraphed right hand from Swanson misses the target.

Koira throws a hook but Swanson blocks it.
Koira tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Swanson manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Swanson jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Koira ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Swanson throws an overhand right that lands on Koira's shoulder, as Koira tries to avoid the shot.
Koira uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Swanson.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Swanson pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Swanson shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Swanson showed some decent athleticism there.
Koira manages to get to full guard.
Koira is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Swanson scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Swanson chips away with some ground and pound.

Koira looking to hit a scissor sweep but Swanson is one step ahead there.
Swanson throws a sloppy strike and Koira has hooked up an armbar on the loose arm! He's turned and extended fully! Swanson is forced to tap! Great BJJ from Koira!
