Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between mike blood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johny Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, mike blood!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Johny Jones!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Wesley Smith and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

blood drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Jones lands some strikes from the bottom.
Jones wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
blood in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
blood is fighting to break Jones's control of his arms but Jones is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Jones looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
blood trying to control the position from guard on top but Jones is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
blood throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Jones works over blood's head and body with a nice combination.
Jones fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

Jones throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and blood counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
blood is breathing heavily.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from blood.
blood keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
blood throws a body punch but Jones moves out of range.

Jones shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Jones showed some decent athleticism there.
Jones is taking a breather. blood says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Jones's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Jones tries to pass the half guard into mount. blood knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
blood is looking to improve his position.

Jones content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Let's hope that Jones has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Jones wants to advance to full mount but blood doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Jones stays in close to blood's body and controls the position.

Despite being in the dominant position, Johny Jones just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Jones is on top in guard.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Jones wants to control from the top but blood keeps moving.
blood manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Jones gets back to half guard.
Jones strikes from the bottom but blood passes into mount!
Jones tries to reverse the position but blood maintains control.
Jones bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Jones is stalling in the full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Johny Jones showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

mike blood seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
blood throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
blood showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Jones.

and Jones makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Jones changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. blood looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Jones takes a little break here. blood wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

Jones lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Jones's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Jones not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Jones passes blood's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Jones wants to free his trapped foot but blood is holding on for dear life with his legs.
blood tries to roll over but Jones keeps him under control.
blood throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Jones stalling.
blood is pressing down on Jones's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Jones is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Jones pushes down on blood's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Jones is taking a breather. blood says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
blood is looking to escape.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Jones connects with a nice short shot to blood's temple.
blood wants to improve his position but Jones is controlling well.
Jones works his way into side control.
A lull in the action here.
blood is trying to control Jones's posture but Jones avoids it.
mike blood has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
blood is trying to get back to half guard.

Johny Jones comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Jones has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
