Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jack Daniel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eric Stratton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jack Daniel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Eric Stratton!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Daniel Franklin and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Daniel doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Daniel wants to clinch.
Stratton misses the shot to the body.

Stratton fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Daniel, pushing him back against the cage.
Daniel is looking to take this one to the mat.
Stratton scores with a shoulder strike.
Daniel wants to take the fight to the mat but Stratton manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Daniel has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Stratton is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jack Daniel. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Stratton has Daniel pushed against the cage.
Daniel changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Stratton fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Stratton's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Daniel shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Stratton counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Stratton works over Daniel with some ground and pound from guard.
Stratton is stalling in the full guard.

Daniel is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Stratton must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Eric Stratton has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Stratton pushes Daniel up against the cage in a clinch.
Daniel goes for a takedown attempt but Stratton pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Stratton lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Daniel circles away quickly and effectively.

and Stratton holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Daniel is looking to control Stratton's arms but Stratton gets an underhook and turns him. Now Daniel has his back to the cage.
Stratton gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Daniel.

Daniel tries to score a body lock takedown but Stratton shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Daniel tries to pull guard but Stratton holds him up against the cage and eventually Daniel drops back down to his feet.
Daniel jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Stratton walks away with a smile on his face. Daniel gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Stratton dips to his left and cracks Daniel with an uppercut!
Stratton is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Daniel rather than just go for the knockout.

Stratton misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Daniel struggles to land a body shot inside as Stratton controls his hands.

Eric Stratton seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.

Stratton rushes Daniel and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Daniel is trying to pull guard but Stratton turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Stratton is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Daniel goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Stratton digs a right hand into Daniel's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Daniel's gas tank.

Stratton is pressed up against the cage. Daniel has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Stratton down to the mat. Stratton avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Daniel tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Stratton smiles and moves away.

Stratton lands a right hook to the body.
Stratton jabs Daniel to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Daniel slips a jab and a cross from Stratton.
Stratton scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.

Stratton rushes Daniel and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Stratton has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
A short left from Stratton.
Daniel has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Stratton after a bit of a struggle.
Stratton stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

Stratton has Daniel pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Stratton pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Daniel tumbling to the mat - Stratton dives into Daniel's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Stratton not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Let's hope that Stratton has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Daniel escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Stratton gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Stratton advances to half guard.

Stratton takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Daniel looking for submissions off his back.
Well, if Stratton is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Stratton decides to return to a standing position.
Eric Stratton is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Well Stratton has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
