The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
John tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Ludher manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
John is looking to clinch.
John misses with a wild combination.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Ludher, right into the meat.
Ludher lands a jab to the nose.
John moves forwards but Ludher connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Ludher lands with an overhand left.
Ludher lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
John fails in his attempt to clinch.
John is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Ludher throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

David Ludher seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ludher throws a shot from downtown. John moves away and avoids it.

John tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Ludher counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

John really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Oh John is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Ludher throws an overhand right that has John reeling! Ludher follows up with more punches and John is out cold! This one is all over!
