Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Yiouski Mi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Butterworth (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Yiouski Mi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Paul Butterworth! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Cecil Peabody and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Butterworth displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Mi. Butterworth looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Mi shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Butterworth's guard. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Mi throwing strikes from guard but Butterworth blocks nicely. Butterworth tries to land a sweep but no joy. Butterworth is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Mi has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Butterworth pulls Mi in close to his closed guard and prevents Mi from doing any damage or advancing position. Butterworth working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Mi. Butterworth wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Mi throws a strike but Butterworth rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Butterworth throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Mi works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mi can't keep his opponent in guard - Butterworth advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Mi is staying active underneath Butterworth, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Mi on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Mi tries to get out of the position. Butterworth passes to side control. Mi is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Butterworth is one step ahead and moves to full mount! Butterworth seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Mi is holding on tight.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Paul Butterworth. Butterworth fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Mi, pushing him back against the cage. Mi changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Butterworth fights it off and pushes away nicely.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Mi with a poor takedown and Butterworth counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Butterworth. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Yiouski Mi. That's going to take a lot out of him. Butterworth slips nicely into half guard. Mi is breathing heavily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Butterworth wants to take a breather but Mi is having none of it. Butterworth tries to pass the half guard into mount. Mi knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Butterworth is figuring out what he wants to do next. Butterworth throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Butterworth trying to control from half guard but Mi is working away. Mi actively working from the bottom here. Butterworth content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Butterworth trying to control from Mi's half guard. Mi has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Mi keeping moving, preventing Butterworth from controlling successfully.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Paul Butterworth. Mi shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Butterworth as he avoids it easily. Butterworth jabs at Mi's body. Butterworth connects with a looping right hand.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Butterworth fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Mi to the ground. Butterworth is now in Mi's guard. Mi keeping moving, preventing Butterworth from controlling successfully. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Paul Butterworth dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Butterworth fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Mi, pushing him back against the cage. Butterworth has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Mi regains guard immediately. Mi is striking from the bottom but Butterworth uses the opportunity to pass into half guard. Mi is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Butterworth controlling the action here. Butterworth is trying to control. Mi wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Mi is trying to maintain the position but Butterworth is very close to passing his half guard. Butterworth seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Mi does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Paul Butterworth hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Butterworth feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Butterworth's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Butterworth trying to control but Mi is working from the bottom. Butterworth stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mi swivels though and keeps the full guard. Butterworth slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Butterworth preventing the sweep. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Butterworth postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Butterworth throwing strikes from guard but Mi blocks nicely. Mi is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Butterworth looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Butterworth postures up.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Butterworth gets a clinch. Mi drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Butterworth gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Butterworth manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Butterworth bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Mi's guard. Butterworth pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Mi is keeping the position for now. Butterworth wants to control from the top but Mi keeps moving. Butterworth looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Butterworth works a leg free and moves into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Butterworth wants to take a breather but Mi is having none of it.

Mi closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Butterworth to the mat! Butterworth manages to get full guard. Butterworth has control of Mi's left arm, preventing Mi from doing any damage. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Butterworth bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Mi's guard. Butterworth controls the pace of the fight for a moment. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Butterworth trying to control but Mi is working from the bottom. Butterworth thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Butterworth wants to control from the top but Mi keeps moving. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Paul Butterworth showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Butterworth throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Butterworth dives in and scores a takedown into Mi's guard. Mi wants to stand up but Butterworth is controlling him. Mi is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Butterworth working some strikes from top position. Paul Butterworth has got the better of the ground game so far. Butterworth is pushing down on Mi's leg trying to pass to half guard. Mi is fighting to maintain full guard but Butterworth has managed to sneak the leg through. Butterworth content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Butterworth is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Mi is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
