The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ryomou moves into the clinch.

Ryomou could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Bob Bob wasn't active enough on the ground.
Ryomou pushes Bob up against the cage in a clinch.

Bob turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Ryomou can't do much from the bottom here.

Ryomou tries to roll over but Bob keeps him under control.
Ryomou might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Ryomou slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Ryomou looking to hit a scissor sweep but Bob is one step ahead there.
Ryomou manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Bob manages to get himself to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bob wants to get back to his feet but Ryomou is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Ryomou stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bob swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Ryomou drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Ryomou jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
