Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kengo Watanabe! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Ren Mimura and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sam tries to clinch up and Watanabe counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Watanabe working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Watanabe throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Watanabe accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Watanabe stands up over Sam, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Watanabe throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Watanabe content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Watanabe is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. That's two minutes gone in the round. Watanabe arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Sam's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Kengo Watanabe!
