Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Scottie Terrier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Salvador Saballe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Terrier comes to the cage accompanied by Down with the Sickness. Saballe has chosen In My City as his entrance music. Salvador Saballe will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Scottie Terrier! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Salvador Saballe! The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Summer Carpenter and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Horrible takedown by Terrier or perhaps it was just good defense by Saballe which made him look bad. Terrier dives in and grabs Saballe's left leg, looking for a takedown. Saballe pushes down on Terrier's head and hops out. Terrier avoids a punch combination nicely.
Terrier closes this distance looking for a takedown but Saballe circles away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Scottie Terrier. That's going to take a lot out of him. Saballe thuds his right hand into Terrier's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Terrier ducks under a wild hook from Saballe. Saballe throws a sloppy head kick and Terrier moves out of range easily. Terrier keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Saballe. Terrier shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Saballe sprawls well. Saballe wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Terrier gets slowly back to his feet. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Saballe looking to land some kicks to the body here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Saballe lands a body shot.
Saballe throws a nice inside leg kick. Terrier tries for a takedown but Saballe circles away easily and Saballe counters by clinching up. A short body shot lands from Saballe as the two fighters clinch.
Saballe tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Terrier's elbow. Saballe stops a takedown attempt from Terrier.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Terrier tries to score a body lock takedown but Saballe shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Saballe slows down the pace here.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Saballe tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Terrier's elbow. Terrier has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Saballe is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Saballe is stalling here.
Saballe breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Terrier just misses with a punch to the body.
Saballe throws a low kick, looking for Terrier's leg but Terrier calmly moves out of range. Saballe fails with an attempt to clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Saballe throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Saballe tries to land a front kick but Terrier steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Saballe buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Salvador Saballe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. No joy there for Saballe, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Terrier takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Terrier is breathing heavily. Saballe throws a leg kick which misses Terrier's front leg but catches the back leg as Terrier tries to avoid it. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Terrier showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Saballe.
Saballe drives through and clinches with Terrier against the cage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Saballe leaning against his opponent.
Saballe receives a warning from the referee for stalling. This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Terrier. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery. Saballe utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body. Terrier wants a takedown.

Saballe misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Terrier.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! A nice left hand lands by Saballe.
Terrier is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Saballe pulls him back up using the underhooks. Saballe lands an uppercut. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Salvador Saballe dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Saballe will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Terrier blocks a head kick by Saballe.
Salvador Saballe seems to be getting the better of the standup. Saballe throws a sloppy head kick and Terrier moves out of range easily. Saballe stuffs the takedown attempt from Terrier. Terrier gets slowly back to his feet. Terrier avoids a kick to the body.
Saballe gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Terrier to score an easy takedown into full guard. Terrier is fighting to break Saballe's control of his arms but Saballe is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Terrier loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
That's one minute gone in the round. Terrier looking to sit in guard and control but Saballe gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Saballe works a leg free and moves into half guard. Terrier wants to control but Saballe is keeping busy and won't allow it. Saballe controlling the pace. Saballe looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Terrier is looking for a sweep. Saballe is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Terrier slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Terrier holds on and takes a little breather.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Saballe trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Saballe sitting in guard here, content to control. Terrier working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Saballe doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Saballe manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Terrier is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Terrier escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Saballe gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Saballe trying to control but Terrier is working from the bottom. Saballe stays in close to Terrier's body and controls the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Terrier is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Saballe is aware though and is defending well. Terrier has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Saballe is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Terrier. You can see the frustration on Terrier's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Terrier is being controlled here. Saballe working away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Terrier is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Saballe is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Terrier gets back to half guard. Terrier is looking for a sweep. Saballe is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Terrier wants to control but Saballe is keeping busy.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Saballe uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Saballe takes the fight into the clinch. Terrier looking for a takedown. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Salvador Saballe will probably get the nod - 10:9. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Saballe Throws a clean left jab. Saballe Twirls his body and connects with a Spinning Back Fist that connects flush with Terrier's chin! Terrier crumbles to the ground and Saballe follows up with some unanswered strikes. It's all over!! Nice standup skills displayed by Saballe!
