The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dat stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Dean avoids a punch combination nicely.
Dat throws the kick towards the body but Dean avoids it.
Dean tries a head kick but it misses.
Dean darts in trying to clinch
and Dat counters with a nice uppercut.
Dean staying out of range there.

Dat throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Dean was covering up waiting for the punch and Dat finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Dean is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Dat postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dean looking for a sweep. Not yet Dean, not yet.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
