Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Wanderson St Velasquez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Grady (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Grady has chosen Hollow Points At Ya Face as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Wanderson St Velasquez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Grady! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, George Francis and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! St Velasquez throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Grady counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for St Velasquez! We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. St Velasquez working to try and regain half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. St Velasquez is working hard here to advance position. St Velasquez tries to buck Grady off but he can't manage it. Grady thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Grady working for a guillotine from mount but St Velasquez is in no mood to give up. St Velasquez is desperately trying to improve his position but Grady has a good base and remains in mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Grady wants to control the pace but St Velasquez is squirming around nicely. Grady wants to control the action but instead St Velasquez gets a body lock and reverses into Grady's guard! Nice work! St Velasquez postures up in Grady's guard and throws a big left but Grady blocks it. St Velasquez seems content to control from guard here. Grady is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. St Velasquez is aware though and is defending well. Grady working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from St Velasquez. St Velasquez slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Grady has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Grady preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. St Velasquez wants to control from the top but Grady keeps moving.

Wanderson St Velasquez has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. St Velasquez circles away from the clinch attempt and St Velasquez counters with a single leg into guard. Grady didn't expect that. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Grady wants to stand up but St Velasquez is controlling him. St Velasquez controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Grady looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

That was a close round but I would say that Wanderson St Velasquez will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

St Velasquez closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - St Velasquez lands in his opponent's guard. Wanderson St Velasquez overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Grady is trying to keep St Velasquez in close.

That's one minute gone in the round. Grady utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. St Velasquez avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
St Velasquez stays in close to Grady's body and controls the position. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as St Velasquez accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. St Velasquez is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Grady throws a series of punches but St Velasquez moves out of range.
That's two minutes gone in the round. St Velasquez blocks a head kick by Grady.
St Velasquez lands a lovely overhand right. St Velasquez swings and misses with a hook to the body.

and Grady counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Grady. Grady is trying to break the clinch but St Velasquez has him pressed against the cage. St Velasquez manages to break the clinch.
Grady shoots for a double leg takedown but St Velasquez sprawls well. He's pushed Grady's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Grady is breathing heavily. St Velasquez lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Grady on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
A combination from St Velasquez does no damage. St Velasquez lets his hands go wild with a nice combination. Left! Right! Uppercut! Spinning backfist! Grady goes down and covers up as St Velasquez starts wailing on him! The ref watches the action closely before stepping in and putting a stop to the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Wanderson St Velasquez!
