Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lazarus Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Light Oscuru (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Enter Sandman - Metallica. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Chris Downing and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Oscuru.
Jones throws a big shot that misses.
Jones shoots in for a takedown but Oscuru shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
A swing and a miss from Jones.
Jones attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Jones throws out a powerful jab.
Oscuru is looking to slow Jones down with leg kicks.
Oscuru misses with a low kick.
Jones looks to score with a jab to the body but Oscuru is just out of range.
Jones swings widly with a right hand
and Oscuru counters with a good, hard body kick but Jones shrugs it off.

Jones throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Jones closes the distance and clinches.
Jones is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Jones blocks a body shot from Oscuru.
Jones's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Lazarus Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Oscuru counters with an inside leg kick.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Jones.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Jones lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Oscuru has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Oscuru and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Oscuru, right into the meat.

Oscuru moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Oscuru slaps away a takedown attempt from Jones, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Light Oscuru is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Jones changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Oscuru tries to avoid it but Jones manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Oscuru to the ground. Oscuru escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lazarus Jones. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Oscuru catches Jones with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Jones looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Oscuru is fending him off so far but Jones persists. Nope, Oscuru circles away and we're back to standing.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Oscuru doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Jones throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Oscuru.

Jones scores with a jab to the body.
Oscuru throws out a leg kick but Jones moves out of range and Oscuru only half commits.
A chopping leg kick lands by Jones.
Jones connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Oscuru slips a straight right by Jones.
A slow jab from Oscuru misses its intended target.
Jones throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
It looks like Light Oscuru has been cut.
Jones missing with a left hand there. Oscuru was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Oscuru misses with a jab to the body
and Oscuru takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Jones throws a right and a left that Oscuru avoids nicely.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Jones throws a one two combo.
Oscuru misses with a body shot.
A combination from Jones does no damage.
Jones does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Jones throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Oscuru sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Jones throws the left hand but Oscuru avoids the punch easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lazarus Jones dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Light Oscuru's cut.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Jones shoots in looking for a takedown. Oscuru tries to sprawl out of it but Jones keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Oscuru manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Oscuru throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Oscuru gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Jones advances position into side control!
Oscuru is looking for a sweep.
Jones working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
I wouldn't like to be where Oscuru is right now.

Oscuru dodges the ground and pound from Jones.
Jones misses with the ground and pound.
The ground and pound from Jones seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Jones stands up.
Oscuru chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Jones can pounce on him.

Jones throws a leg kick that is checked
and Oscuru counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

Oscuru is looking to land body kicks.
A thudding body kick lands there by Oscuru!
Oscuru throws a solid leg kick but Jones takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Oscuru.
Lazarus Jones is winning the standup battle so far.
Oscuru shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Jones throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.

Jones throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Jones shoots in looking for a takedown but Oscuru manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Jones's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Jones throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Jones takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Jones tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Oscuru swivels and escapes.

Jones cracks Oscuru with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

Jones looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Oscuru.
Oscuru breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Oscuru moves away from the strike by Jones.
Jones pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Jones swings widly with a right hand
and Oscuru counters with a stiff right hand.
Sloppy strikes from Jones. Those never looked like landing.
Oscuru misses the jab.
Oscuru staying out of range there.
Nice takedown defense from Oscuru. No joy for Jones on that attempt.
Oscuru throws a leg kick but Jones moved away.

Jones on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Oscuru slips under a jab from Jones.

and Oscuru counters with a nice body kick.

Oscuru uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Jones.

Jones throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Oscuru slips a straight right by Jones.

and Oscuru cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Light Oscuru has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Jones throws the left hand but Oscuru avoids the punch easily.
Oscuru lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Jones throws a hook to the side of Oscuru's head but Oscuru sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Jones stalks Oscuru and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Oscuru's face. Oscuru staggers backwards, shaken.
Jones manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Oscuru on his heels. He'll look to pass Oscuru's guard now, I'm sure.
Jones postures up and lands a big shot to Oscuru's brow.
Jones throws a strike but Oscuru rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Lazarus Jones is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Oscuru won't allow Jones to get back to his feet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Jones is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Oscuru is aware though and is defending well.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Oscuru wants to control from the top but Jones keeps moving.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Light Oscuru was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Jones is trying hard to land a takedown here. Oscuru sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Lazarus Jones.
Well Jones has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
