Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hitty McPunch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gray Potter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Potter comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Biggie Smalls - Victory kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hitty McPunch!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gray Potter!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Stewart Dunkirk and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Potter defending well as McPunch loads up on a big left hand.
Potter shoots in for a takedown but McPunch shows good takedown defense.
Potter throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around McPunch's waist but McPunch gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Potter off to one side.
Potter shoots for a double leg takedown but McPunch sprawls well. He's pushed Potter's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Hitty McPunch has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gray Potter.
Potter lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but McPunch circles away quickly and effectively.
Potter misses with a takedown attempt - McPunch sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Nice shot lands for Potter.
Potter shoots in but McPunch avoids the takedown attempt easily.

It looks like Gray Potter has been cut.
Potter shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts McPunch as he jumps to the side.
McPunch jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Potter misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Potter shoots in for a takedown but McPunch shows good takedown defense.
Potter looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? McPunch is fending him off so far but Potter persists. Nope, McPunch circles away and we're back to standing.
Potter fails to land the takedown.
Potter shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts McPunch as he jumps to the side.

Potter throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. McPunch was covering up waiting for the punch and Potter finishes the takedown easily into guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Potter throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Potter trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

McPunch has control of Potter's left arm, preventing Potter from doing any damage.
Potter thows a big elbow that misses.
Potter showing good wrestling skills to control the position.

Hitty McPunch has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Potter lands a jab to the nose.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Hitty McPunch will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Gray Potter's cut.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Potter closes the distance and clinches up with McPunch, looking for a takedown. Potter pushes McPunch against the cage but McPunch circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Gray Potter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
No luck for Potter with that takedown attempt.
Horrible takedown by Potter or perhaps it was just good defense by McPunch which made him look bad.
Hitty McPunch has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gray Potter.
McPunch misses the jab.
Potter has a takedown stuffed.

Potter drives through with a takedown into McPunch's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Potter postures up in McPunch's guard and throws a big left but McPunch blocks it.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

McPunch on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if McPunch tries to get out of the position.

McPunch seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Hitty McPunch has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
McPunch tries to close the distance and clinch but Potter swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Potter scores with a one two! McPunch had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Potter keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from McPunch.
McPunch keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Left hook, right uppercut from Potter.

McPunch throws the left hand but Potter avoids the punch easily.
Potter tries to score a power double leg takedown but McPunch sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Potter somewhat.
Potter fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but McPunch avoids it really well and circles away.
Potter fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
McPunch swings widly with a right hand
and Potter counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
McPunch throws a jab when Potter was well out of range.
Potter jabs at McPunch's body.
Gray Potter is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
McPunch stuffs the takedown.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Potter is defended easily by McPunch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Gray Potter showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's time! McPunch's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!



Potter looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for McPunch!

Potter has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Potter thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
BOOM! Potter connects with a massive shot to the dome!

McPunch working to try and regain half guard.

Potter throwing strikes here but McPunch is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

McPunch can't escape the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Potter misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Potter sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
McPunch knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Potter on the ground.
McPunch tries to hold on but Potter postures up.
Potter lands a big elbow.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
McPunch is in all sorts of trouble here.

And that's the end of the fight!
Gray Potter comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Potter has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
