Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Sheilds (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Timmy Turner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sheilds's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, The Game. Timmy Turner will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kevin Sheilds!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Timmy Turner!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Elvis Blanc and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sheilds drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Turner looking to control.
Sheilds won't allow Turner to sweep him here.
Turner is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Turner is trying to control the position from the bottom.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Timmy Turner hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Sheilds decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Sheilds controlling the action here.

Turner trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!
Sheilds looking to control and managing it successfully.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Sheilds stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Sheilds wants it to stay on the feet.

Sheilds looking to score a takedown here. Turner is defending well but Sheilds drives through and ends up in Turner's guard.

Turner looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Sheilds has picked Turner up and slammed him! Turner can't keep hold of the triangle and Sheilds manages to pass to side control!
A lull in the action here as Sheilds stalls from top position.
The ground and pound from Sheilds seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Turner is looking to reverse the position.
Turner manages to get back to half guard.

Turner is trying to control but Sheilds passes into side control!
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Turner is trying to improve his position.
Turner struggling a bit here.
Turner looks to move to half guard but instead Sheilds has passed into mount! Damn!
Turner tries to lock up and control but Sheilds gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Sheilds with the ground and pound from mount.
Sheilds prevents Turner from getting the reversal.
Sheilds landing strikes from the mount and Turner is in trouble!
Turner is working to get back to half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Sheilds takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Turner tries to lock up and control but Sheilds gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Sheilds controlling his opponent.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Kevin Sheilds has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Turner closes the distance and clinches up with Sheilds, looking for a takedown. Turner pushes Sheilds against the ropes but Sheilds circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Turner fails in his attempt to clinch.

Sheilds closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Sheilds lands in his opponent's guard.
Sheilds prevents Turner from getting back to his feet.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Sheilds sitting in guard here, content to control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Sheilds's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Sheilds avoids a kick to the body.
Turner fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Sheilds, right into the meat.

Sheilds throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Turner tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Sheilds is in Turner's guard.
Sheilds wants to pass the guard but Turner is keeping the position.
Turner wants to stand and escape but Sheilds is having none of it.
Sheilds stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Turner swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Sheilds won't allow Turner to sweep him here.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

We're going to have a standup here because Kevin Sheilds wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Turner gets caught napping as Sheilds dives in and scores a takedown. Turner manages to retain guard.
Kevin Sheilds overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Sheilds stands up and waves to Turner to follow him.
Turner shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Sheilds pinned against the ropes. Sheilds gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Turner fails with an attempt to clinch.

Sheilds gets a double leg takedown into Turner's guard.
Sheilds stands and throws Turner's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Turner is trying to control Sheilds's posture but Sheilds avoids it.
Turner is looking for a sweep.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Turner takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Sheilds controls the position.

Sheilds seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Turner for as long as he can get away with.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Turner is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Sheilds postures up and lands a whopping elbow - oh that's hurt Turner bigstyle! Two more strikes land for Sheilds and the fight is over!
