Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Pete Schwetty!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Alexander White!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Gregory Folan and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schwetty misses with a low kick.
White shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Schwetty defends it nicely.
White's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Schwetty connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! White scrambles back to his feet.
White is rocked!
It looks like Alexander White has been cut.
White circles away from the clinch attempt.
White keeps the fight on the outside.
Schwetty misses with a wild combination.
Schwetty throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
White shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Schwetty napping and manages to drive through into side control!
White working the ground and pound.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
White decides to stand back up.
Schwetty cracks White with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! White looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Schwetty finish him?
White is still on wobbly legs! Can Schwetty finish him?
Schwetty fails with an attempt to clinch.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Schwetty tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but White paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Schwetty wants to clinch up but White keeps it at a distance.
Schwetty has taken the fight to the clinch.
Schwetty pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
White changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Schwetty tries to avoid it but White manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Schwetty to the ground. Schwetty escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
White get stunned by a cross and takes another one on the button. White stumbles backwards and tries to bounce back off the ropes but Schwetty runs in and jumps on him with a leaping lead hook that puts him out! Wow, that was highlight reel stuff! Awesome finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Pete Schwetty!
