The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Redd tries to score a power double leg takedown but Marakov sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Redd somewhat.
Redd fails with a takedown attempt.
Redd shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Redd was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Redd trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Marakov wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.
Marakov prevents Redd from getting a body triangle.

Redd controlling well, preventing Marakov from escaping the position.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Adam Redd hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Redd has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Marakov finds it's way round the side to connect with Redd's head.
It looks like Adam Redd has been cut.
Marakov manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Redd on his heels. He'll look to pass Redd's guard now, I'm sure.

Redd shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Marakov as he jumps to the side.
Marakov throws a series of punches but Redd moves out of range.
Redd doesn't manage to clinch there - Marakov circles away.
Marakov throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Redd on the side of the head.
Redd dodges the punch combination from Marakov.
Redd throws a right and a left that both miss.
Redd takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Marakov scores with a takedown into Redd's guard.

Redd has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Marakov doesn't defend quickly enough and Redd has managed to lock this one up! Can Marakov escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Redd on a fantastic submission victory.
