Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dyl Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Keith Lamon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Keith Lamon!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Eliza Hachem and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones circles away from the clinch attempt
and Jones makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Lamon lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Lamon.


It looks like Dyl Jones has been cut.
Lamon tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Lamon fails with a takedown attempt.
Lamon wants to clinch up but Jones keeps it at a distance.

Jones has Lamon pressed against the cage, preventing Lamon from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Lamon jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Jones walks away with a smile on his face. Lamon gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Dyl Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Keith Lamon.
Lamon tries to close the distance and clinch but Jones swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

and Jones makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Jones throws a right hand that Lamon ducks under and follows up with a left that Lamon also avoids with ease.
Jones ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Lamon shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Jones pinned against the cage. Jones gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Jones keeps the fight on the outside.
Jones really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

and Jones counters with a right hand to the body.
Jones throws a series of punches but Lamon avoids them all with ease.

Jones looks to score with a jab to the body but Lamon is just out of range.
Jones is looking to wear down Lamon with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Lamon looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Lamon moves forwards but Jones connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Lamon shoots in looking for a takedown but Jones manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Lamon's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Lamon closes the distance and clinches up with Jones, looking for a takedown. Lamon pushes Jones against the cage but Jones circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Jones lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close round but I would say that Dyl Jones will probably get the nod.

Lamon needs to keep his hands up - Jones had a free shot at his head there.

and Jones counters with a straight right hand.
Jones throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Lamon shoots for a double leg takedown but Jones sprawls well. He's pushed Lamon's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Lamon takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Jones stuns Lamon with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Jones lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Lamon circles away quickly and effectively.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Lamon shoots in looking for a takedown. Jones tries to sprawl out of it but Lamon keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jones manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

and Jones counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Lamon shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Jones as he avoids it easily.
Jones lands with a nice combination. Lamon backs away looking to recover.
Jones connects with a body shot.
Lamon is trying hard to land a takedown here. Jones sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Lamon uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Jones.
Jones throws a shot to the body.
Jones throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Lamon stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Keith Lamon has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Jones cracks a nice hook into Lamon's ribs.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Jones, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
