Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mark Vasquez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jared Ydio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vasquez comes to the cage accompanied by Slipknot. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mark Vasquez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jared Ydio! The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Paulsen Ambrosius and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ydio clinches up against the cage. Ydio jumps guard and drags Vasquez to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Ydio keeping moving, preventing Vasquez from controlling successfully. Vasquez prevents Ydio from getting back to his feet. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Ydio can do anything to dispel that myth. Ydio wants to sweep but no luck. Vasquez scoring with some ground and pound. Ydio looking for a sweep. Not yet Ydio, not yet. Vasquez throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Vasquez stands and throws Ydio's legs to the side, diving into side control. Vasquez is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Ydio has escaped the position, nice work there. Vasquez working the head with strikes. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Vasquez tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Vasquez has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! This fight is sponsored by Chainsaw 7. That's one minute gone in the round. Ydio tries to get back to half guard but can't. Vasquez wants to stand but Ydio has his arm trapped. Ydio tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Vasquez presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount! Ydio is trying to stand up. Vasquez tries to control but Ydio wriggling away. Vasquez is looking to stand but Vasquez has his arms wrapped tightly around him, looking to prevent the damage.
Poor strikes thrown by Vasquez there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Vasquez working for a guillotine from mount but Ydio is in no mood to give up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ydio wants to try and get back to his feet. Ydio looks gassed! Vasquez with good strikes from the mount here! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ydio is desperately trying to improve his position but Vasquez has a good base and remains in mount. Ydio is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Vasquez tries to stand up but he's trapped just for the moment. Vasquez looking to secure an arm triangle but Ydio defends it well. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Vasquez has control of Ydio's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Ydio regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Vasquez looking to control but Ydio is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vasquez has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Ydio swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing. Ydio tries to get back to half guard but can't. Vasquez sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Ydio is squirming around, avoiding Vasquez's attempts to control the action. Ydio is wriggling around trying to escape.
Vasquez is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Vasquez!
