Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Peter Just (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Harry Villegas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Just comes to the cage accompanied by Intriguing Possibilities- Trent Reznor. Villegas has chosen War is my destiny as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Harry Villegas! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Ian Loll and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Just showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Villegas.
Villegas tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Just was well out of range. Poor timing from Villegas. Just scores with a head kick. Villegas tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. Just throws a right hand that misses
and Villegas counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Just has managed to clinch.
Villegas has a couple of punches blocked by Just.
Villegas can't find room to land a body shot as Just controls the action.

That's one minute gone in the round. Just drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Villegas gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Villegas is pushing Just up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Just has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Villegas is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

A shot to the body from Just misses and Villegas cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Villegas fails to land the takedown. Jab by Just. A close round but Harry Villegas will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Just postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Villegas working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Just. Just trying to control but Villegas is working from the bottom. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Villegas is on top in guard.

Just has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Just is looking to control Villegas's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Just avoid being mounted? Villegas not landing any meaningful shots this time. Just is pressing down on Villegas's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Villegas postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Villegas works a leg free and moves into half guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Just looking for submissions off his back. Just actively working from the bottom here. Villegas not landing any meaningful shots this time.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Villegas missing with the ground and pound from half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Villegas thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Just's head. Villegas thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Just is trying to maintain the position but Villegas is very close to passing his half guard. Villegas is trying to control. Just wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Villegas is thwarting Just's attempts to control the position. Villegas thows a huge punch but Just dodges it nicely.
Villegas wants to lay and pray for a moment but Just keeps working. Just tries to get to full guard but Villegas has control of the leg.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Just avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Villegas. Villegas wants to pass the guard but Just is defending well. Villegas wants to work for an arm triangle but Just is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Just makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Just. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Villegas missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Peter Just will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Villegas is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Just. Just misses with a left hand and Villegas counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Just's guard now. Just looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Villegas has picked Just up and slammed him! Just can't keep hold of the triangle and Villegas manages to pass to side control! Villegas misses with the ground and pound. Just manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Just sitting and controlling from the half guard. Just thows a huge punch but Villegas dodges it nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Just is just content to waste time from the top position. Villegas takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Villegas looking for a sweep. Not yet Villegas, not yet. Villegas working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Just. Just pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Villegas is keeping the position for now. Just postures up.
Just won't allow Villegas to sweep him here. Just throws a big right hand that misses. Villegas looking to hit a scissor sweep but Just is one step ahead there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Villegas controls Just momentarily but Just frees himself. Villegas takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Just trying to control the position from guard on top but Villegas is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Just throwing strikes but missing. Just trying to control but Villegas is working from the bottom.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. The fight stays on the outside here - Villegas looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Villegas jabbing away but nothing is landing. Just displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Villegas throws out the jab. Villegas looks to land a right hand but Just moved out of range. Villegas looks to land a left hand but Just moved out of range nicely. Villegas throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. The fight stays on the outside here - Just looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Just misses with a straight right. Just defending well as Villegas loads up on a big left hand. Villegas throws a lazy right hand but Just sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Just lands a head kick. Villegas smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Just moves into the clinch. Villegas tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Just's elbow. Just tries for a takedown. No joy.
Just tries to pull guard but Villegas holds him up against the cage and eventually Just drops back down to his feet.
Just tries to score a body lock takedown but Villegas shows good agility there to stay on his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Peter Just. That's going to take a lot out of him. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Villegas misses with a hook to the ribs.

Just changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Villegas fights it off and pushes away nicely.
