Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Cody Moser (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nick Schnieder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cody Moser!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nick Schnieder!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Stewart Dunkirk and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moser tries to clinch

and Schnieder counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Schnieder.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Schnieder stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Moser swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Moser working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Schnieder doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Schnieder manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Moser is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Schnieder wants to control from the top but Moser keeps moving.
Schnieder is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Nick Schnieder has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Moser fails with a takedown attempt.
Moser keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Moser plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Schnieder is defended easily by Moser.
The fight stays on the outside here - Moser looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Moser doesn't manage to clinch there - Schnieder circles away.
Moser throws a head kick but Schnieder moves out of range.
Schnieder dives in and grabs Moser's left leg, looking for a takedown. Moser pushes down on Schnieder's head and hops out.
Cody Moser has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nick Schnieder.
Moser misses with a hook. Schnieder ducked under it nicely.

and Schnieder counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Moser's guard now.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Schnieder tries to free his leg and advance position but Moser is retaining full guard.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Schnieder slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Moser looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Schnieder is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Moser is controlling Schnieder's posture.
Schnieder not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Nick Schnieder has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Moser throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Moser shoots for a double leg takedown but Schnieder sprawls well. He's pushed Moser's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Cody Moser seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Schnieder counters by moving into the clinch.

Schnieder has Moser pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Schnieder pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Moser tumbling to the mat - Schnieder dives into Moser's guard.

Moser escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Schnieder gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Moser is breathing heavily.

Moser has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Schnieder is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Moser.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Moser takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Moser tries to land a front kick but Schnieder steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Moser closes this distance looking for a takedown but Schnieder circles away.

Moser closes the distance and pushes Schnieder back into the cage.

Schnieder works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Moser keeping moving, preventing Schnieder from controlling successfully.
Schnieder slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Moser is looking for a triangle but Schnieder pushes his legs off easily.
Schnieder seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Moser is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Nick Schnieder hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Moser shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Schnieder but Schnieder pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Moser shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Schnieder as he jumps to the side.

Moser is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Schnieder has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Moser clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Nick Schnieder showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Schnieder takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Moser is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Nick Schnieder.

so Schnieder counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Schnieder got a little sloppy there for a moment and Moser has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Schnieder has managed to get both his arms back between Moser's legs - danger averted.

Let's hope that Schnieder has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Moser tries to sprawl but Schnieder drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Well, if Schnieder is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Schnieder is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Moser defends it well.
Cody Moser has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Schnieder is taking a breather. Moser says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Nick Schnieder comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Schnieder winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
