Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Sam Malik!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Hirohito Nitta and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cole has his takedown stuffed
and Malik counters with a nice uppercut.
It looks like Atticus Cole has been cut.
No joy there for Malik, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Cole wants to clinch.
Malik misses with a series of wild punches.
Malik misses with a double jab.
Cole throws a head kick that misses.
Malik rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Cole moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Malik lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Cole circles away quickly and effectively.
Cole shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Malik sprawls well. Malik wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Cole gets slowly back to his feet.
Malik swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Cole counters with a crisp one two that drops Malik! Cole thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Malik to his feet! Malik is in big trouble!
Malik is rocked!
Malik looks gassed!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Malik keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Malik is still on wobbly legs! Can Cole finish him?
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Atticus Cole. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Cole has taken the fight to the clinch.
Cole's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Cole shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Malik as he avoids it easily.
Cole clinches up against the ropes.
Cole goes for a takedown attempt but Malik pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Malik chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Cole can pounce on him.
Horrible takedown by Cole or perhaps it was just good defense by Malik which made him look bad.
That's one minute gone in the round.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Cole.
Cole clinches.
Cole pulls Malik into guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Cole has his foot on Malik's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Malik works his way back into a safe position though.

Cole manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Cole lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Malik hang on?
Cole wants to control the pace but Malik is squirming around nicely.
Cole working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
Cole won't let Malik get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

Malik staying busy and making it hard for Cole to control.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Cole is controlling the position but Malik somehow manages to roll and ends up with half guard.
Cole not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Malik is not content to let Cole control the position.
Cole wants to get back to his feet.
Cole wants to take a breather but Malik is having none of it.
Cole lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Malik blocking the ground and pound attempt from Cole.
Cole is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Cole wants to lay and pray for a moment but Malik keeps working.
Malik won't allow Cole to pass to mount.
Malik is defending against the submission attempts here by Cole.
Cole throws a strike but Malik avoids it easily and moves to full guard.

Cole trying to control but Malik is working from the bottom.
Cole wants to stand but Malik is controlling his posture from full guard.
Cole missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Cole trying to control the position from guard on top but Malik is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Atticus Cole.
Nice takedown defense from Malik. No joy for Cole on that attempt.
Malik gets tackled into the ropes by Cole. Cole maintains the clinch.
Cole ties up his opponent against the ropes and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Cole no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Cole is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Cole is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Malik is controlling him.
Malik stands up and waves to Cole to follow him.
Cole moves into range and clinches up with Malik.
Cole keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Malik's efforts to push away.
Cole lands an elbow just above Malik 's eye.
Cole is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.
Cole's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Malik swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Cole counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Cole throws an overhand right that drops Malik like a sack of potatoes! Cole dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
